Recovery – A Festive, Hopeful & Happy Experience!

Recovery is exciting – or at the least, it should be.  It’s a road that leads to a lifetime of freedom from addiction.  What could be better than that?  You come out of darkness, end your suffering, replace emptiness with fullness, despair  turns into hope, confusion is no more, anger leaves, and slavery to drugs or alcohol is over.

What has given Recovery a bad name?  Well, that’s easy to answer.  It’s the anonymous, dysfunctional and useless 12 steps rehabs and support groups.  They all lead nowhere and base all of what they do (and they do nothing) on fake disease & relapse theories.  Their job is to keep you coming back because recovery is BIG BUCKS to these unethical people.  We have people coming to us who have been brow beaten, told they would never recover, have been put down, have been preyed upon as if they were animals, and given no hope.  How dare they do this to humans!

Please don’t give up!  Recovery can be the most exciting time of your life – with new chances, a new life, renewal, and a powerful awakening.  Please check us out HERE and see what the possibilities are.

How to Get to Hell Because of an Addiction

idolatry-is-adultery-and-it-kills

Go warns against idolatry.  Creating an idol can be very insidious and can be done without realizing it.  An idol isn’t just a statue as was the golden calf, in scripture. An idol is something or someone that exceeds the importance of God.  It comes first – before the Lord.  An idol doesn’t have to be a physical object.

At the time, I didn’t realize that my addiction was an idol.  I thought I had been saved; however, I realized later that I was on my way to Hell.  God is a jealous God.  Putting anything else before Him is adultery to Him.  It’s serious. Before March of 2007, the power within me to use drugs was so overwhelming that my mind couldn’t have received the truth about idolatry – that’s what addiction does.  Are you willing to risk your eternity in Heaven for a temporary high on earth?  We’re here for such a short time.  Our lives end here and begin again, upon death, in Heaven or Hell – one of two places of our own choosing by accepting or rejecting Jesus Christ.

If you are in an addiction, please get help today by checking into a hospital or facility detox unit.  NEVER do it on your own.  After that, join our individualized recovery program from the comfort of home.

Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.
Exodus 20:3

Trust is a Big Deal!

Yeshua bench sepia

Trust is a big deal.  You can’t just have it for anyone.  They need to earn your trust.  If they have ever disappointed you, regaining trust is most difficult.  Trust takes time to earn.  It involves experience after experience where that someone doesn’t ever disappoint you  with lying or deceit.  You know you can finally trust someone when you no longer suspect them of wrongdoing.  Trust is a difficult thing when it comes to humans; however it’s an easy thing knowing that you can blindly trust the God of the Bible – Jesus Christ.  It is He who I personally trust and He has never once betrayed my trust.  Who do YOU trust?  If you can bring yourself to trust HIM, you’re recovery will lead to being fully recovered – never having to worry about addiction ever again.

Are You a Sheep or a Goat?

To permanently end addiction, one must choose to be a sheep – not a goat.  This means that obedience to the Lord Jesus has to be your #1 priority.  You need to live your faith.  God rewards faithfulness with healing and blessings.  The sheep follows the shepherd  and the goat rebels against him.  Be a sheep!

good-and-faithful

And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand,
Come, ye blessed of My Father, i
nherit the kingdom prepared for you
from the foundation of the world:

For I was an hungred, and ye gave Me meat:
I was thirsty, and ye gave Me drink:
I was a stranger, and ye took Me in:

Naked, and ye clothed Me:
I was sick, and ye visited Me:
I was in prison, and ye came unto Me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying,
Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee?
or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

When saw we thee a stranger,
and took thee in?
or naked, and clothed thee?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison,
and came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them,
Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto
one of the least of these My brethren,
ye have done it unto Me.

Matthew 25: 33-40

From Thin to Thick Skin?

Definition of Vulnerable:

  • capable of or susceptible to being wounded or hurt, as by a weapon
a vulnerable part of the body.
  • open to moral attack, criticism, temptation, etc.
  • (of a place) open to assault; difficult to defend

original

We all have one or more points of vulnerability.  If you say you don’t, you’re either lying to yourself or to someone else.  As tags go, some of us claim to be thick skinned, while others of us claim to be thin skinned.  No one is one or the other.  We’re all composed of a little of each because of our innate human vulnerabilities.  I know that if hadn’t been so vulnerable, I probably would never have ended up in an addiction.  It’s those vulnerabilities that makes us want to hide… to run… to be overwhelmed… to use those substances in our bodies that seem to take us away.  I know when I used, I felt numb. When I felt numb, I couldn’t feel those things that thinned out my skin.  It was only a very temporary ‘happy place’ that took me down a path of darkness that I don’t wish on anyone.

Isn’t is our vulnerabilities that make us who we are?  I believe that’s so, except when we allow those vulnerabilities to overtake us.  We truly need to grab hold of them and make them work in our favor.  Never allow yourself to feel helpless or powerless.  In 2 Corinthians 12:10, Paul the apostle, amidst talking about some of the perils he had been through, says, “when I am weak, then am I strong”.  What he’s saying is that when he hits his times of distress or helplessness (vulnerability), His faith in Jesus takes over and brings him to victory!  Those are the times when we cry out to God!  If you have received Jesus – and are walking in His ways – not your own,  you can cry out to Him and immediately gain the strength you need to endure and win!  Don’t let anyone fool you; sometimes you need to go through some tough times in order to get through.  Those tough times are tests of endurance.  You just need to understand that the Lord will hold your hands every step of the way.  He did it for me during the most horrific times of my life; He’ll do it for you.  Never allow yourself to question why… that’s a waste of time.  Just praise God that He will bring you the victory along with the strength to get through.  Through each and every trial I’ve been through, I gained His strength, endurance and unwavering faith.  I wouldn’t be the woman of faith that I am today had it not been for all that I went through.  If you keep up with my blog, you may know some of the trials I endured.

Just always remember that Jesus is right there – at your side and within your soul. His gift to you of His Holy Spirit is God Himself  within you.  The Holy Spirit is no less God and Power than is Jesus or our Father.  As long as you’re His, know that winning, strength  and victory are a done deal!  Sometimes trials take time; all you need to do is to see Him during those storms.  Always, keep of visual of our Mighty King on His throne before your eyes. Train your mind to do that.  Never let go of that vision.  You’ll soon find that your vulnerabilities – whatever they may be – will melt into strength and will never hurt you again.  You’ll be able to stop running away and enjoy the rest.

Don’t know Jesus?  CLICK HERE to find out how to receive His salvation.  Victory in this life, and eternity in the next one, awaits!  No one knows when death will come.  For some, it’s at the ripe old age of 95, for others, it’s at 5 years old!  Many times, death comes when people are perfectly healthy and enjoying life.  Don’t be unprepared.  Your soul is eternal and eternity is far too important to put this decision off another moment.

In all these things we are more than conquerors
through Him that loved us.
Romans 8:37

You are never helpless.  You are never alone.  You don’t have to fight your battles by yourself.  It’s not about the people around you – it’s about God within you!  Never forget Him.

“Fear not, for I Am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I Am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you
with My righteous Right Hand.”
Isaiah 41:10

Sacrifice

Definition of sacrifice:

sacrifice is a loss or something you give up, usually for the sake of a better cause.

For me to have been able to achieve complete healing of addiction – back in 2007, to date, and for the rest of my life –  I had to SACRIFICE.  Anyone who comes to know the Lord must sacrifice.  It could be the sacrifice of a lifestyle… a boyfriend or girlfriend… a job… friends… a home town… family… children… parents… activities… books… movies… TV… social events… secular schooling… music…

My Own Biggest Sacrifice

living-sacrifices

Whatever or whoever it is that does not align with the Word of God is something that needs to be sacrificed in order for your final destination to be Heaven.  When I was in detox – fighting for my life – my younger daughter told me that if I didn’t go to a 12 steps rehab for 6 months, that she would never talk to me… that I would never attend her wedding… that I would never meet her children when or if she had any… and that she would never be there for me.    She made these threats knowing that I trusted Jesus – and Him alone.  That daughter kept her promise!  She contacted me after her declaration of not speaking to me ever again, telling me that she needed a relationship with me of sorts.  Of course, I (joyfully) accepted her back into my life.  Nothing could ever stop me from loving my children; however, she wouldn’t ‘allow’ me to talk about Jesus and I had to have a relationship with her – HER way, not God’s way.  We continued for several years to have ‘controlled’ talks (under her control) until the Lord spoke to me about having to resume sharing Jesus with her, as her soul was (and is) in jeopardy.  She  is so opposed to God… even to the point of permanently marking up her body with two huge tattoos that are 100% Satanic.  One of the two tattoos was an upside down cross – a definite Satanic symbol!   Her evil was SO profound that my other (also apostate) daughter doesn’t ever want her near her children!  She is an amazing vocalist and songwriter; however, she writes music AGAINST Christianity and Jesus Christ.  I had to sacrific my daughter because I refused to stop talking about my faith to her.  Although I reached out to her many times, she has never returned my emails, voicemails, or texts.  She has made her decision… a decision that will affect her eternity.  My older daughter last spoke to me – over 2 years ago – when my husband and I sent our little grandchildren 3 adorable kids’ videos, at Christmas time, about the love and salvation of Jesus the Messiah.  We researched these videos to make sure that they would be enjoyed.  My daughter wouldn’t acknowledge the gifts we sent and never spoke to me again.  Despite attempts to reconnect, she refused.  She took our grandchildren away from us and, far worse, she took our grandchildrens’ grandparents away from them.  I had to sacrifice my daughter and grandchildren.  Both of my children made their decisions and both of them will suffer in eternity unless they repent; that will be their ‘sacrifice’ for sin.

Yes, there have been many other sacrifices I have had to make for my faith.  I thought I’d share the above with you due to the nature of the depth of the sacrifice, and to show you that joy and peace come with sacrifice.  My walk with Jesus Christ is the most important aspect of my life to me, and should be to you as well.  After all, Jesus sacrificed His life for us!!!  That’s the biggest sacrifice anyone can make – especially for God Himself.  When you sacrifice for Jesus – you will be FREE!  If you compromise, you will wake up in Hell.  Be Heaven bound!  Your soul is too important; it’s the only thing you take with you when you die.  Our lives, and all things and people that compose are lives, must be ready to be sacrifice.

Oops!

Due to the profound seriousness and dangerous nature of the circumstances that cause me to be as close as I am today with the Lord Jesus, I have become truly dispassionate and intolerant to people who allege to be Christians and are not.  I’m not boasting that this is necessarily a ‘good’ thing, I’m just sayin’.  I went through a ridiculous amount of danger, hazards, torment, unhappiness, brokenness, heartbreak, fiery trials, near death experiences, sickness, disease, broken relationships, family trauma, and more, to be where I am today.  Today, I am happy – regardless of circumstances in my life.  I am at peace – no matter what.   I am very healthy and under the Lord’s blessings.  As the Bible promises,  I am “the head and not the tail”.  I am surrounded by His angels who protect every move I make.  I know – without an iota of doubt – that I am saved, I am Jesus’ Bride and I am  Heaven bound.  It was through going through MUCH, that I have achieved the level of belief that I have today.

oops 4

Why should I care about how other believers walk?  I care because of the Holy Spirit’s promptings to me; so, I must call it as I see it to those who cross my path so that they might truly repent and make it to Heaven too.  Telling others what we observe to be  a wrong turn off the straight and narrow, is 100% Biblical, or their blood will be on our hands.  There are sins that I call, ‘oops sins’ .  Oops sins are just plain old everyday fleshly sin arising from being unaware… being seriously provoked by someone or something… or just not knowing .  When we commit an oops sin without realizing it,  1) we must identify it as we go the the Lord in our closet prayer that day, 2) we repent of it and ask for the Lord’s mercy to forgive us,  3) we make a plan of how to never do it again – and stick with the plan,  and 4) we vow NEVER EVER to repeat it and we don’t.  Oops sins NEVER occur twice.  When an oops sin happens twice, it becomes deliberate sin, or what God calls, rebellion.

Another pet peeve I have are for people who claim to love God and say, I’m sorry, without meaning it.  I’m sorry means, forgive me because I will NEVER do it again; then, they do it again!  The problem with, I’m sorry, is that most people who claim to love God are lying because they don’t mean it.  God hates liars and they don’t go to a good place in eternity – if you know what I mean.  These ‘goats’ say the words to get a temporary stay of execution, and then do it again… and again… and again.  That’s not being sorry on any level imaginable.  That’s called being in rebellion, which is not being saved.

For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
2 Peter 2:21

Rebellion is where I vow never to be again.  I was once in rebellion by using drugs; however, the traumatic events that the Lord took me through and delivered me from – due to my former rebellsion, have taught me a loud and powerful lesson, so, I am NOT a rebel anymore.  I refuse to risk my eternity in Heaven for some stupid and ignorant acts of the flesh.  I can tell people about what I went through and deliver the message I have harshly learned, but – when you tell humans, ‘don’t’, then they ‘do’.  It is always my hope that no one else has to go through any one of the events that I have gone through in my lifetime, but that’s a very naive hope on my part – knowing human behavior better than that.  BUT… for the one or two of you that can hear and listen to my words, maybe you’ll learn something today and avoid bad tomorrows.

Have I become a bit touchy or cynical or unsympathetic or intolerant or accusatory or suspicious?  Most would say that I have.  I say that I’ve become more concerned with your soul that being liked.  That’s LOVE – God’s Love!  I only want to see you ‘there’.
